Galliford Try Partnerships forms JV for £100m regeneration scheme

Regeneration specialist Galliford Try Partnerships has launched a joint venture with Trafford Housing Trust Developments to deliver around 600 homes at Heath Farm Lane in Partington, Greater Manchester, worth over £100m.

The joint venture will see the two organisations deliver high-quality homes and provide a sustainable new community which integrates with the current Partington area.

The development will be carried out working closely with the local community and make an important contribution to the success of the Partington Priority Regeneration Area.

Work has already begun on the consultation process, which will be followed by submitting a planning application to Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council.

It is hoped that the development will start later in 2018.

The proposals include a complete range of 576 new homes to meet the varied demands of homebuyers and residents in Partington and the surrounding areas.

The properties will range from one- to five-bedroom residencies, including apartments and family homes.

Five hundred of the new homes will be available for open market sale and will be promoted under Galliford Try’s Linden Homes brand and Trafford Housing Trust’s housebuilding division Laurus Homes.

Seventy-four houses will be made available as affordable homes, and will comprise a mix of tenures, including shared ownership and for rent.

Stephen Teagle, chief executive at Galliford Try Partnerships (pictured above), said: “This is an exciting opportunity to work with the trust’s Laurus Homes housebuilding division and deliver a high-quality development that provides great homes, a great environment and contributes to the wider regeneration of Partington.

“It will provide homes and jobs for local people and add to our growing programme of delivering new homes in the North West.”

Larry Gold, deputy chief executive at Trafford Housing Trust, added: “Being based in Trafford, we are very familiar with both the challenges and huge opportunities that the Partington district has to offer.

“This scheme is just one of several transformational programmes in the pipeline for the area, and we look forward to working with Galliford Try Partnerships to drive this first phase of development.”
